Three Acre Holler & Michael Stadler

March 19 @ 7:30 pm - 10:00 pm

$20 – $25
Singer Cori Wood and singer/multi-instrumentalist Layne Bowen formed 3 Acre Holler as an offshoot of a previous band in 2015. They were drawn to material inspired by modal Appalachian music, often with darker themes. 3 Acre Holler plays music that reflects that spirit, but also touches on more modern subject matter.

Last summer the duo released a new CD of mostly original material called “Prudence and Wisdom”, recruiting Paul Shelasky on fiddle, mandolin and dobro and Cary Black on bass to round out the band. The result is a tapestry of styles that lean heavily into rural themes and even Celtic influences. Joining 3 Acre Holler for this show will be multi-instrumentalist Michael Stadler.

Bill Frater says:
Stadler is a Bay Area multi-instrumentalist whose CD looks and sounds like the work of an acoustic veteran rather than a debut release. Tastefully mixing elements of folk, old timey, bluegrass and a respectful dash of classic country to make a unique blend that’s fits as comfortably as a well-worn pairof jeans. His smoky voice exudes a humble confidence, going from a soft whisper to a moaning wail.

Doors open 7pm – Show starts at 7:30pm

Tickets at the door: General admission $25 Discount to CBA and SoCoFoSo members $20
