Marketing and Development Manager
POSITION: Marketing and Development Manager
Reports to: Executive Director

Salary: $70,000/year
JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing and Development Manager is responsible for oversight and implementation relating to marketing and fundraising for the SCCC. Key responsibilities include marketing/communications, fundraising events planning/ goal setting, donor data tracking and communications. Marketing includes all concerts, event & class promotion, website design and maintenance, social media, e-marketing, and organizational branding.
MARKETING DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- With collaboration and support from Executive Director, responsible for developing and implementing an overall organizational marketing strategy.
- With collaboration and support from Executive Director, responsible for branding strategy and community communication/ PR.
- Responsible for overseeing & updating general web presence. This includes e-timeline schedules for social media/ announce/ on sales, updating website content, updating social media sites, posting events to online calendars, and sending targeted e-blasts.
- Oversee the development and production of print & web materials for publication and distribution. Includes brochures, flyers/posters, event programs, ads, signage & price lists.
- Coordinate the production of the season brochure. Includes developing layout, interfacing with Executive Director for updates to brochure content, securing advertising, preparing files for printer & coordinating printing & mailing of brochure.
- With collaboration and support from the Executive Director, support the full rebranding efforts set forth through the organizational strategic plan.
- Provide marketing support for all fundraising efforts.
- Responsible for maintaining the annual Marketing Budget
- Perform other duties as needed or as requested.

DEVELOPMENT DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- With collaboration and support from the Executive Director and Fundraising Committee, manage fundraising events including Author Talks, Gala’s, and Appreciation Gatherings.
- Serve on the Fundraising Committee as a key staff member contributing to the creative process around methods to build fundraising.
- Manage donor database system tracking and organization including the creation of targeted lists, donor giving, meeting notes, and more.
- In collaboration with the Executive Director, meet with potential donors to discuss giving opportunities.
- Oversee and manage various fundraising goals including micro-pledges, matching efforts, Half My DAF funding and more.

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Experience in Marketing and fundraising
- Experience with Microsoft Office; Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, & InDesign; basic HTML/CSS; CMS website software & CRM database software; internet & social media technology, as well as PC & Mac proficiency preferred.
- Strong project/event management skills and the ability to problem solve while paying attention to detail.
- Strong organizational & time management skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask and adjust to changing priorities as needed.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communicator who is open, curious, and committed to learning
- Honors the principle and practice of confidentiality.
- A sincere commitment to the nonprofit values and mission of the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center. Knowledge and understanding of the West County community very helpful.
- Ability to speak and write effectively in English.
- Bilingual Spanish/English desirable
