          NOTICE:

          This year we will collect e-mail addresses from parents in order to send out schedule updates and a weekly newsletter, designed to let parents know about camp activities. Please help us by filling out the e-mail section of your registration form!

 

 

 

 

 

Program Policies

1.  Enrollment. Children will be enrolled on a first come, first served basis. A waiting list will be kept for additional enrollment.

2.  Authorized Pickup. Only a person authorized by the parent or guardian may pick up a child. If someone is going to pick up your child that is not on the SCCC authorization form you will need to bring a written notice in advance.

3.  Absences. All parents must call to let us know if your child will be absent on that day.

4.  Extra days. If you need additional care on a day not scheduled, please be sure to give prior notice and have permission from the director. Without such permission, you will not be allowed to leave your child at camp.

Field Trips: All children are required to wear a current 2008 summer camp t-shirt.

NO child will be allowed to attend without this t-shirt.

Discipline and Behavior

·        First offense: Verbal warning.

·        Second offense: Discussion with the director and teacher. Phone call to parents.

·        Third offense: Two-day suspension.

·        In extreme circumstances, a child may be dismissed from the program.

We expect all children to treat staff and other children with respect, honesty and courtesy. As we expect staff to treat children with the same values. Any behavior which endangers any child will not be tolerated. These behaviors include but are not limited to the following:

·        Fighting or Hitting

  • Teasing
  • Threatening
  • Use of inappropriate language

If reoccurring behavior continues, we ask for your assistance in re-directing the child’s behavior pattern. We reserve the right to withdraw any child from our program. No refunds will be given when removal of a child is due to infractions having to do with the above-mentioned behaviors.

What You Need to Bring

Every day:

  • A Camp T-Shirt!
  • Healthy lunch and snack
  • Sun block and Back Pack
  • Good walking –play shoes

 

Additionally on Tuesdays and Thursdays:

  • Bathing suit & Towel

Arrival and Departure

State law requires parents/authorized persons to bring the child into the camp building and to sign him or her into the program.

Parents/Authorized persons must also sign out when picking up the child.

Please make an effort to pick up your child in a timely manner.

Our program closes at 3PM. Allow time for your child to collect belongings and say good-byes.

Extended hours are available for a fee, from 3 to 6:00pm. Pick-ups after scheduled times are subject to a late fee: $10 for every ten minutes, this payment is due at the time occurred. 

Schedule Changes

We require two weeks notice for any changes made to your schedule. Two weeks of tuition for withdrawal without notice will be charged. Any changes of schedule need to be made directly to the director. We will make every effort to accommodate needed changes.

When Your Child is Sick

Children exhibiting signs of sickness should be kept at home for at least 24 hours after last signs have disappeared. Children exhibiting signs of illness, fever, runny noses, vomiting, diarrhea and irritability will be presumed sick. Parents are required to pick the child up as soon as possible.

Medication Policy

We will only administer physician-prescribed medication. A doctor-prescribed label with correct dosage, original container must accompany all medication. We cannot administer over-the-counter medications. If medication needs to be administered, please complete “Medication Permission Slip”. Please do not send any medication in your child’s lunch box or backpack or you’ll be asked to pick it up immediately.

Bringing Toys and Videos

SCCC discourages children to bring any toys, videos, electronics and any other materials from home. This will avoid any risk of conflict or broken items. SCCC is not responsible for any lost or broken items.

Lunches

With all the activities we do, your child’s body will need all the energy it can get. Please avoid any sugary items.   Please send your child with a snack, a nutritious lunch and a water bottle each day.
